Discussion with IA ITB ’80

Starting the new management that was formed for the 2020-2025 period, the 1980 Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Alumni Association (IA) established friendship by holding online discussions with the Alumni Office, Directorate of Student Affairs, and the ITB Directorate of Facilities and Infrastructure.

In line with the IA ITB ’80 work program, the first discussion discusses the opportunities / potential for cooperation that may be realized. Programs such as Give back to Almamater and Legacy are IA ITB ’80 concerns so that they can contribute to the alma mater that they love.

Presented by the Director of Student Affairs ITB, Dr. G. Prasetyo Adhitama S.Sn ,. M.Sn., making facilities / gathering places to study, discuss, collaborate, with complete facilities (co-working space) is one of the potential for cooperation besides scholarship and internship programs. It becomes interesting, because this co-working space can be a partnership that has “legacy” values. By involving students in designing and designing, it is hoped that the campus atmosphere will be more lively on the three campuses, namely Ganesha, Jatinangor, and Cirebon.

Dr.Eng. Ginting Jalu Kusuma, S.T., M.T., representing the Directorate of Facilities and Infrastructure, explained the potential for cooperation in terms of the campus sign system in addition to cooperation in the construction / maintenance of buildings, parks, lighting systems, and other campus physical facilities. It is hoped that the new campus sign system can make the campus more informative and “friendly” to visitors, both internal and external. The availability of maps / booklets / instructions on campus that are made attractive both in physical and digital form will make the campus tour more enjoyable.

In closing, the Head of the Alumni Office, Dede Koswara, A.Md., S.T., will support any alumni interest in collaborating with ITB through the Alumni Office. Programs such as scholarships and endowment funds have been running well. In the future, a kind of proposal will be made regarding a list of potential / opportunity for Alumni cooperation with ITB to make it easier for Alumni to choose the Give back to the Almamater program of their interest. In addition, ITB is also basically very open, accepting the resources owned / interested by the alumni, which can be in the form of funds, tools, networking, and so on.
