Since several years ago, STEI has started following developments in the field of quantum computers through collaboration with research agencies in America and Japanese companies. STEI researchers have succeeded in creating a problem solving algorithm for the Hadamard matrix search which in 2019 was included in the Nature Scientific Report 100 in Physics.

 

The latest development, in 2020, this algorithm succeeded in finding the Hadamard order 92 matrix which has historically been sought by researchers, until finally it was discovered by JPL scientists in 1961 using a mainframe computer. This is an important milestone in the development of quantum computer technology.
