TI85 ITB Alumni Celebrate “40th Weaving Togetherness” in Bandung
The Industrial Engineering alumni of Institut Teknologi Bandung (TI85 ITB) held a three-day reunion celebration in Bandung, themed “40th Weaving Togetherness”, to commemorate four decades of friendship, contribution, and lasting bonds formed since their university days.
The main event took place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, with a Home Coming to the ITB campus—an opportunity for alumni to revisit the milestones of their academic journey and witness the latest developments in the Industrial Engineering department. The event was virtually opened by the Head of the Master’s and Doctoral Program in Industrial and Management Engineering, Dr.Eng. Yosi Agustina Hidayat, S.T., M.T., who presented recent achievements and innovations of the department, including the introduction of the Industrial Engineering Management study program designed to address upstream industry challenges. A welcoming address was also delivered by Dr. Wisnu Aribowo, S.T., M.T., Head of the Undergraduate Program in Industrial Engineering.
On Sunday, September 21, 2025, alumni and their families enjoyed a city tour around Bandung using two Bandros (Bandung Tour on Bus) vehicles. The group visited several iconic landmarks such as Gedung Sate, the West Java Struggle Monument, Ir. H. Juanda Street, and Asia Afrika Street. The day was filled with laughter, warm conversations, shared meals, and joyful memories during group lunch and dinner sessions.
On the third day, Monday, September 22, 2025, the reunion concluded with a fun walk through Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Juanda (Tahura). This location holds special meaning, as it was where the TI85 cohort first gathered during their freshman orientation in 1985, back when the area was known as Dago Pakar.
This three-day event stood as a testament to the enduring solidarity and spirit of TI85 ITB alumni—even after 40 years. More than just a nostalgic gathering, the reunion also served as a celebration of the alumni’s journey, contributions, and impact on their alma mater and the nation.
