The West Java Regional Chapter of the Bandung Institute of Technology Alumni Association (IA-ITB Jabar) successfully held its leadership election congress on Sunday, June 22, 2025. During the congress, M. Firaldi Akbar Z. (SBM ’06) was elected as the new Chairman of IA-ITB Jabar, succeeding the previous leadership.

The congress was attended by alumni representatives from various cohorts and academic programs, as well as officials from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). Representing the university were:

• Dr. Andryanto Rikrik Kusmara, S.Sn., M.Sn., Vice Rector for Communication, Partnership, Alumni Relations, and Administration (WRKMAA)

Representatives from the Directorate of Alumni and Career Development, including:

• Dr. Alfita Puspa Handayani, S.T., M.T. (Alumni Services Division)
• Dr. Ardiyan Harimawan, S.T., M.Eng. (Career Development Division)

In their remarks, ITB leadership expressed appreciation for the democratic and inclusive nature of the congress and emphasized the vital role of alumni in fostering synergy between the university, society, and industry.

The election of M. Firaldi Akbar Z. brings renewed optimism for IA-ITB Jabar’s mission to strengthen alumni connections, promote regional collaboration, and expand both social and professional contributions across West Java and beyond.
