The Rector of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), accompanied by the Director of Communications and Public Relations, the Director of Alumni Relations and Career Development, and “Dream Maker” Mas Imam Santoso, held a meeting with the West Sumatra Regional Board of the ITB Alumni Association (IA-ITB Pengda Sumatera Barat). The meeting was attended in person by the Chairman of IA-ITB Pengda Sumbar, Andri Satria (SI ’94), and the Secretary-General, Aulia (SI ’01).

In this warm and engaging meeting, several topics were discussed, including opportunities for supporting regional arts groups at ITB as a means of cultural preservation, as well as exploring various potential collaborations between ITB and its alumni in West Sumatra in the areas of education, research, community service, and regional development.

Currently, around 300 ITB alumni reside in West Sumatra, with many actively involved in the education sector, including serving as lecturers at various universities. The Chairman of IA-ITB Pengda Sumbar, Mr. Andri Satria, is currently serving as the Technical Director of PDAM (Regional Water Utility Company) of West Sumatra.

This meeting is expected to serve as a strategic first step in strengthening collaboration between ITB and its alumni in West Sumatra, aiming to make a real contribution to regional and national development.
