ITB Alumni Play an Active Role in the Productivity Goes to Campus Program

The Productivity Goes to Campus program was held at the University of Indonesia campus in Depok on Thursday (11 December 2025), bringing together various stakeholders from government, higher education institutions, and alumni. The event served as a strategic collaboration platform to promote increased national productivity through the active involvement of academia.

The Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Yassierli (TI ’93), who is also an alumnus of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), attended and delivered the main address. In his remarks, the Minister emphasized the importance of higher education institutions in fostering a culture of productivity and innovation, as well as preparing high-quality human resources capable of addressing national development challenges.

ITB Rector Prof. Tatacipta Dirgantara also attended as a keynote speaker. In his presentation, Prof. Tatacipta outlined ITB’s development direction as a world-class, excellent, and independent Fourth-Generation University. ITB is envisioned to serve as a catalyst for transformative change toward sustainable national development through the integration of education, research, community service, entrepreneurship, and multidisciplinary innovation.

Furthermore, the Fourth-Generation University concept promoted by ITB emphasizes the creation of holistic solutions that integrate the humanities, arts, science, technology, and business. This approach is expected to make a tangible contribution to improving national productivity and enhancing Indonesia’s global competitiveness.

The involvement of ITB alumni in this program underscores their strategic role as a bridge between academia, government, and industry in driving productivity transformation and sustainable development.
