The Central Executive Board of the Institut Teknologi Bandung Alumni Association (PP IA ITB) held the 2025 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek) in Jakarta on Saturday (13 December 2025). The forum served as a strategic moment to strengthen alumni synergy and collaboration in supporting ITB’s long-term development direction.
In a video message, the Rector of ITB emphasized that the journey toward becoming a Fourth-Generation University cannot be undertaken by the campus alone. Alumni play a vital role in maintaining collective strength by aligning efforts between the university and IA ITB. He stressed that future alumni programs should not only be lively and engaging, but also relevant, strategic, and capable of delivering tangible benefits to society, carried out in the spirit of togetherness.
The Rakernas was officially opened with the striking of a gong, witnessed by Sophi Damayanti, Director of Alumni Affairs and Career Development at ITB, marking the start of discussions on PP IA ITB’s upcoming work programs.
Minister of Manpower Yassierli, who attended in person, expressed high expectations for IA ITB’s role in collaborating with the government to advance Indonesia. He highlighted at least four key areas for collaboration, including the development of practical community training modules, improved visibility of the job market, the advancement of appropriate technology, and the optimization of overseas internship programs.
Through this Rakernas, the Minister of Manpower hopes that PP IA ITB will formulate work programs that not only strengthen alumni networks but also deliver broad and sustainable benefits to society, contributing collectively to the realization of Indonesia Emas 2045.
