On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Artotel Senayan Jakarta, the ITB Alumni held a musical event titled Ganesha Night, showcasing solidarity and support for social causes and communities.
Previously, the event had raised donations amounting to IDR 500,000,000 for the 2016 Sinabung disaster and around IDR 150,000,000 for flood victims in Garut. In this year’s edition, Ganesha Night extended its solidarity by supporting the production of the ITB Alumni music album “Singing in the Dark”, featuring 10 original songs performed by ITB alumni from various classes and departments.
During Ganesha Night 2025: Solidarity in Harmony, many ITB alumni took part, including PGG Chairman Adhika (TI ’92), musicians Bubi Sutomo (TA ’84) and Purwacaraka (TI ’79). Simon Mantiri (KL ’98), President Director of Pertamina, also showcased his drumming skills. The event was attended by the Chairman of IA ITB Central Board and the Director of Alumni Relations and Career Development of ITB, who both expressed continuous support for social initiatives that strengthen ITB’s excellence and impact.
“This album is the first ever created by ITB alumni, with the aim of encouraging alumni to stay connected, active, united in solidarity, loyal to one another, and always ready to help,” said Tito Kurniadi (GL ’84) and Noor (GD ’88), the hosts of the event, supported by the 1980s–1990s alumni community.
