The ITB Ultra Marathon 2025 was held in festive spirit from September 26 to 28, involving more than 10,000 alumni and members of the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) academic community. The 180-kilometer run started at Graha BNI Jakarta and concluded at ITB Ganesha Campus in Bandung, passing through Bogor, Puncak, Cianjur, Padalarang, and Cimahi.

The event featured both individual and team relay categories, with the relay consisting of 16 runners, each covering a distance of 11.25 kilometers. Two teams of ITB faculty members participated: the Dana GBFIT Team, led by Prof. Brian Yuliarto, and the Lestari GBFIT Team, led by ITB Rector, Prof. Tatacipta Dirgantara.

“This is more than just a sports event. The energy feels like a grand reunion,” said Prof. Tata, who also ran as the 16th runner in his team.

The event successfully raised IDR 1.3 billion ++ for the ITB Dana Lestari (endowment fund), which will be allocated to support student scholarships and strategic research at the university.

DITLUMNIER’s Support for ITB Ultra Marathon 2025

The Directorate of Alumni Relations and Career Development (DITLUMNIER) actively supported, facilitated, and enlivened the 2025 ITB Ultra Marathon. DITLUMNIER hosted a dedicated booth that served as a space for alumni to write their hopes and messages for their beloved alma mater.

Additionally, the Collaborative Alumni Space (RuKA) was opened throughout the event as a gathering place for alumni visiting the campus. At the same time, RuKA was also used as the recording location for the Alumni Class of 2000 Podcast, documenting alumni journeys and contributions to ITB.
