The prestigious ITB Jatiluhur International Triathlon (IJIT) 2025 returned on Sunday, 30 November 2025, at the Jatiluhur Reservoir in Purwakarta. First held in 2023, this event is a collaboration between the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and the ITB Civil Engineering Alumni Association (ALSI ITB). This year’s edition once again reaffirms the commitment of both institutions to promoting sports tourism while showcasing the beauty and tourism potential of the Jatiluhur Reservoir to national and international audiences. Featuring three main disciplines—swimming, cycling, and running—IJIT 2025 successfully attracted participants from various regions as well as from abroad.

This year’s IJIT featured three main categories: Triathlon Sprint (750 m swimming, 20 km cycling, 5 km running), Aquathlon Sprint (750 m swimming, 5 km running), and a 5K running race. The entire event was vibrant and full of energy, presenting intense competition while fostering a sense of camaraderie among athletes, sports communities, ITB academic members, and alumni.

This year, ITB lecturer teams achieved an outstanding milestone by sweeping all three podium positions. Team Progressio secured 1st Place with strong performances by Dr. Arief Haryanto (FTMD), Prof. Tirto Prakoso (FTI), and Prof. Ricky Tawekal (FTSL). Team Harmonia earned 2nd Place, represented by Prof. Aswan (FITB), Prof. Anas Maruf (FTI), and Prof. Tatacipta Dirgantara (FTMD), who was replaced by Prof. Aswan during the competition. Meanwhile, Team Saridona (STEI)—consisting of Dr. Widyawardana Adiprawita, Dr. Riza Satria Perdana, and Dr.techn. Ir. Saiful Akbar—claimed 3rd Place. These achievements further strengthened the spirit of sportsmanship, togetherness, and a healthy lifestyle within the ITB community and its alumni network.

On this occasion, the Rector of ITB officiated the flag-off for the Aquathlon category, while the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs (WRAM) flagged off the participants of the 5K run and Triathlon.
