Bandung, November 1, 2025 — The Geological Alumni Association of the Bandung Institute of Technology (IAGL ITB) once again demonstrates its commitment to advancing geological education and research in Indonesia. Through a contribution worth IDR 100 million, IAGL ITB supports the renovation of the Environmental Geology Laboratory located on the 4th floor of the ITB Geology Building.
The symbolic handover was carried out by IAGL ITB Chairman Abdul Bari during the 2025 National Seminar on Rare Earth Elements held at the Auditorium of the Geological Agency in Bandung.
“Alumni must serve as the driving energy for the future—strengthening collaboration among academia, industry, and the nation. National independence grows from knowledge that is useful and research that drives the advancement of civilization,” said Abdul Bari in his remarks.
The renovation is expected to enhance the quality of learning and research facilities in the field of environmental geology, while reinforcing ITB’s position as a leading center of geological science in Indonesia.
This initiative also reflects IAGL ITB’s commitment to supporting Asta Cita and realizing Indonesia Emas 2045, through the active role of alumni in strengthening the academic, research, and innovation ecosystem of their alma mater.
With a spirit of collaboration and dedication, IAGL ITB continues to make tangible contributions to the advancement of higher education, the development of geosciences, and the building of a resilient, competitive, and sovereign Indonesia.
