Bandung, July 4, 2025 — A solo exhibition titled “COMPOSURE” by Dwipuspita Pangastuti, a 1993 graduate of the Fine Art program at the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) ITB, officially opened on Friday (July 4) at the Soemardja Gallery, CAD Building, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Jl. Ganesa No. 10, Bandung.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Irwan Meilano, S.T., M.Sc., Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs at ITB, and attended by key figures including Dr. Kahfiati Kahdar, M.A. (Dean of FSRD ITB) and Prof. Dr. rer. nat. apt. Sophi Damayanti, S.Si., M.Si. (Director of Alumni Affairs and Career Development).

Held from July 4–11, 2025, the exhibition is curated by Dr. Ira Adriati, M.Sn.

For Dwipuspita Pangastuti, creating art is an act of honesty. Since graduating from ITB, natural elements like flowers, leaves, and trees have remained a constant presence in her work—serving as visual reflections of her life journey as a woman. In Composure, the flowers she paints are not just representations of nature, but symbolic of the emotional layers and life experiences she’s lived through.

Using watercolor on canvas, she transforms silence and sorrow into soft, powerful imagery. Each small, detailed brushstroke demands patience and precision, becoming a form of personal meditation. In this quiet space, she reconnects with herself—while navigating her many roles as a wife, mother, daughter, and individual.

Composure is the space she has created to pause, heal, and speak the unspoken—through line, color, and feeling.

As part of the exhibition program, an Artist Talk will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM (WIB), featuring responses from noted art scholars Dr. Irma Damajanti, M.Sn. and Dr. Agung Hujatnika, M.Sn.
